NETWORK OF GURUS - sap SUPER USERS

CLIENT

Tate & Lyle Plc., a manufacturer and global supplier of food and beverage ingredients, wanted to implement an ERP software, SAP, globally across all its locations.

PROBLEM

With the software roll-out in the EMEA locations, employee training and ongoing support became necessary.

SOLUTION

The Project Management Office and Organisational Change Management teams launched the SAP Super User Network in the region. As the PMO analyst, I teamed up with the global OCM manager, who was responsible for structuring and changing communication for all EMEA teams, and together we created the remedy by:

1. Nominating the software guru / super user in each location.

2. Introducing international teams to each other.

3. Scheduling and arranging weekly, monthly, and quarterly events [such as forums, skill-share workshops, and knowledge transfer between super users and authorized SAP training].

4. Creating a monthly newsletter.

5. Initiating an EMEA super-user holiday tracker.

6. Updating the company's on-boarding process with SAP training for new joiners.

RESULT

The SAP Super User Network greatly enhanced international team building and business engagement by improving cross-border communication, enabling skill and knowledge sharing, and developing internal flexibility in a business transformation process.
